Priyanka was born and brought up in the City of Dreams- Mumbai. She holds Bachelors in Economics and has worked for the automobile insurance industry. While working she pursued PGDBA in Finance from Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning, Pune. She worked for almost 8 years before taking a career break.
Post the break she was looking for opportunities that would help her to restart her career and thus became a part of Springworks. Priyanka has been a part of Springworks since October 2021, and is currently working as an Operations Intern for SpringVerify- India team.
Let’s take a peek into the life of an Operations Intern!
What do you do as an OPS intern at Springworks?
I am working with the Education Team where we do background checks related to the candidates education where we contact Universities/institutes for verifying the details being provided to us.
How has your learning curve improved as a part of Springworks?
I like that we are given equal opportunity as full time employees. Even though it’s a remote company we do feel connected to each other thanks to the morning stand-ups we have, we know each other much better. I was an introvert. But working here has made me confident and more open where I can communicate easily.
Walk us through a day in the life of Priyanka!
- I wake up at 6:30 am – 7:00 am and start preparing breakfast and lunch for my little one who’s not so little any more.
- I then finish household chores and log in at 9: 30 am.
- We have our Ops stand up at sharp 9:50 am which is a fun way to start our day.
- I complete all my work and log out at around 6:30 am – 6: 45 am.
- I return to the kitchen to do some prep for dinner and then go for my evening walk for 45 minutes.
- Once back home, eat dinner and put my son to sleep so that I get some time for myself.With that my day ends!
Which is your favorite product amongst our two apps, Trivia & EngageWith?
Trivia is my favorite application since it is so participatory! Whenever I need a break from my hectic schedule, I check the #fun channel for any new games that have been released. It enables me to clear my thoughts and concentrate better.
What are the challenges that you face in your day to day work schedule?
Because of the atmosphere at Springworks, achieving work-life balance is a breeze; yet at times I feel that I would want to spend more time with my kid and my family. However, it is absolutely feasible to manage work and life here thanks to the excellent staff and cooperation.
Sneak-peek into your life outside Springworks!
Listening to music is one of my favourite things to do. I used to read a lot more than I do now. I usually save my outings and vacations for the weekends.
