My journey at Springworks
Sales is something that I am very passionate about. I love talking to people, networking and pitching products. Since I am from a marketing background, I did a few internships in that domain but sales was something that had a magnetic effect on me. I worked at NiroGyan as a Sales Executive and I felt I had more to offer. While I started to learn about Sales, the pandemic hit and I had to hustle for remote work. My friend Mohit used to work at Springworks and that’s how I heard about the company. I loved the background verification tool and other products that were developed at Springworks. Deep down I felt I was a good fit for the role and I wanted to be associated with the company.
Mohit referred me and the hiring process began. During covid, everyone’s jobs were at stake and recruiters would take a lot of time to get back to the candidates. This created a lot of scuffle and anxiety for job seekers. Springworks took me by surprise. Their hiring process was prompt and there were quick feedback and follow-ups.
During this, I was in constant touch with Bhargavi who helped me understand the work culture, hiring process and vision of Springworks. I had an assignment which included video pitches, Gmail sequencing and a few other things. My interviews were taken by Lokesh, Yashwanth and Karthik I. After a day, I received a call and I was told that I have been selected. I was excited to join Springworks and work remotely.
Personally, I have learned a lot from Lokesh. His work ethic and knowledge were something I looked up to in him. It was great being mentored by him. My buddy Prashanth taught me everything from scratch and helped me get better at work every day. Throughout these 2+ years, I have always been supported by Yashwanth, Anoop, Smitha and Praneeth. It’s been lovely working with them.
It was nice meeting my Sales team and having a buddy who I can reach out to when needed. There were many new things and fresh perspectives that I have picked up in these past two years. I started off as a Sales Representative and I have upskilled myself to become the Sales Lead today. Nothing would have been possible without the support and trust of Kartik, Yashwanth, Anoop and my team.
I feel proud when I look back at my journey and I am definitely a better Salesperson today. Currently, I get to groom my team, understand their views and help them succeed. It’s a great place to be in.
Springworks provides the space and opportunity for one to grow and learn. It’s been a lovely ride so far.
What do I do at Springworks?
I am the Sales Development Lead for SpringVerify India and SpringVerify Digital. As a sales enthusiast, I talk to a lot of people, do cold outreach and build interest. Apart from this, I do demo calls and talk about our products and seize deals. Furthermore, I take a few podcasts and manage my team. As a team lead, I have learnt to make tough decisions that would help us in upscaling. Moreover, I also look after incoming leads and help qualify them for building our clientele.
What are a few things I love about working at Springworks?
The culture at Springworks is something that makes remote work fun. I can go all day talking about it. I get to talk to a lot of people and I have made friends from different teams. The best part about Springworks is the flat hierarchy, it makes one confident and learns from others. There are many instances where I have DMed Kartik, Anoop or Yashwanth and they guide me in the right way. Everyone at Springworks is very helpful and friendly, there’s been no problem in terms of communication or collaboration. I feel appreciated, valued and respected.
Springworks offsites are something that gets me going. Kudos to the entire team for spending time and planning such great stuff for us. I have loved both Goa and Bangalore and I met a lot of people, networked and played fun games. I remember the Bangalore offsite, it was for 3 days but I ended up staying for a month and a half. Being a travel geek, I went to Coorg, Coonoor, Ooty, Gokarna and Goa. Although Goa’s offsite was comparatively short, I had a lot of fun and spent time with the best set of people.
Kartik and the team are ready to experiment and take up challenges which is commendable. There was a time when we were experimenting with a 4-day work-week, running community kitchens, and partnering with various folks to get better at work every day. It’s fun to explore, learn and relearn.
The benefits and perks we receive have always helped all of us. They keep getting upgraded and it’s always for the better. LifeStyle Spending Account and Workation is something I make the most use of.
Flexible working hours are key to my work-life balance. It helps me prioritise a lot of things. I start my work every day by 9:45 am and work till 8 or 8:30 pm. Some Days when I have personal agendas or lighter days in the office, I log off by 6:30 pm. During the day, I connect with my team and discuss where we can improve and what leads to prioritise. They are fun to work with!
My best days at work are those when I close deals that have been pending for a while. Apart from these, the days when I take a break or go on a workation. Nothing gets better than taking a break and working at the same time xD. I love the Sales meet and greets, HR activities and the products at Springworks. EngageWith and Albus are my favourites. Looking forward to growing more here.
Sneak Peek into my life outside Springworks!
When I am not working, I meet my friends, hang out with my fiance or spend the weekend at home. I am very spontaneous and do things that I feel like doing at that moment. Occasionally, I sketch and paint too. Nowadays, I spend my time outside work on my wedding prep. I love binge-watching too.
